The Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) is inviting university students and recent graduates to meet representatives of a large number of multilateral organisations and learn about the work they do and employment opportunities. The 20th International Career Day (ICD) will be held on Friday, 15 March 2024 in Lausanne.

The ICD offers young professionals and students at Swiss universities a platform to meet with representatives of international organisations and find out about jobs and career opportunities in the multilateral environment. More than 50 high-profile multilateral organisations from different sectors will be at the ICD to provide first-hand information and answer visitors' questions about internships and part-time positions as well as entry-level opportunities and the eligibility criteria.

The ICD has grown significantly in terms of both participant and visitor numbers since being launched in 2003. It was held in Bern in 2017 and in Basel in 2018, in St Gallen in 2019, online in 2021, in Fribourg in 2022 and in Lucerne in 2023.
